Grove Cottage

The Cumberland County Museum & Archives was established in 1981. The property was the residence of Robert Barry Dickey, lawyer, politician, and one of our Fathers of Confederation. Known as "Grove Cottage", the house was chosen by the Amherst Township Historical Society because it carried historical memories, it was one of the oldest surviving buildings in Amherst, and because it continues to wear the beauty of its time.
